Have a nice yard? Consider participating in District 1’s Summer Landscaping Challenge

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. () – Council Member Devyn Keith is inviting District 1 residents to participate in the third annual A Cut Above Summer Landscaping Challenge.

District 1 residents can nominate their yard, or someone else’s yard to participate in the competition. Three yards will be recognized for the following awards: Best Landscaping, Most Captivating Floral Display and Best Curb Appeal.

Nominations are open and will close on July 31.

“The real winners are all of District 1,” Keith said. “With everyone working to make their yard look the best, it will be a pleasure for visitors and residents to enjoy all of the beautiful yards and make our city look even more spectacular.”

You can make your submission . Winners will take home prizes and a complimentary yard sign designating their title.

Winners selected by a committee of city leaders will be contacted in mid-August, and the Huntsville City Council will recognize each homeowner at a public meeting later that month.
