Two adults and a child are being treated at a hospital for unknown injuries following a head-on crash in Scarborough. Deputy Fire Chief John Brennan told a Maine’s Total Coverage crew at the scene of the crash on County Road that a car and light-duty pickup truck collided at around 9 a.m. Monday.One of the adults hospitalized was in the truck, while the other adult and the child hurt were both in the car, according to Brennan. He also says at least one of the adults had life-threatening injuries. Police have identified the victims as a 48-year-old woman and 47-year-old man, both from Buxton. Bystanders reportedly performed CPR on at least one of the adults at the scene and were still doing so when ambulances Scarborough police and fire crews arrived. Ambulances from Westbrook and Gorham also responded. Scarborough Police say the stretch of County Road near the town line with Buxton was shut down between Broadturn and Hodgdon Roads while they investigated what caused the crash. Police posted on their Facebook page at 9:55 a.m. that the road was closed. Officials announced that the road reopened at around 1 p.m.
